Perfect for the Do-It-Yourself ArtistEverything in Projected Frame is clearly labeled and we have tried to stay away from “Accounting Jargon” because quite frankly we don’t see what’s so special about debits and credits. Whenever possible we use normal, everyday terms like bills, payments, and bank deposits.
We have a simple view on accounting. If you can “Send a Bill“, “Receive a Payment“, and “Write a Check” then you can use our system. That’s all the accounting knowledge you need (and we’d argue that isn’t even accounting knowledge).
In the future we will be adding additional services that will let you do all sorts of things at the click of a button. We want to keep your accounting experience as light as possible so in the coming months we will add push-button tax filings and even payroll for the more advanced users so stay tuned. (These features will be launched after the Beta period ends.)
It’s perfectly normal to have questions. We know this and have already planned for it. When you run into a question about how our system works we want you to ask. We’re available by phone, email, or even online chat for you to voice your questions and get answers. Most of the time we can answer your question right there on the spot, but if not we have a dedicated support staff who’s sole purpose is to get you the right answer as quickly as possible.
Most questions are handled by our own support staff, but on the rare occasion we get a specific accounting question or you need accounting advice (other than just how to use our system that takes care of most things for you automatically) then we may refer you to a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to get your question answered. Don’t worry, we’ll let you know in advance and you can always use your own CPA if you like. It’s our goal to make the system intuitive enough that you don’t run into these kinds of questions.
Communication is KeyWe make it easy to provide an easily understood bill for your clients. No “phone bill” questions here. You decide what goes on the bill (and you can even customize the look of your bills to match your own unique style).
Once you’ve billed your clients we give you the tools to follow-up and make sure that you actually get paid. You can view outstanding bills, resend bills by email, look up customer history, apply payment terms, and more all from within Projected Frame.
Many of the people we’ve talked to get bogged down in just entering the information to collect payments. They complain about having to go through up to 5 different screens in some software packages just to get all the bits and pieces keyed into their system. We have eliminated the complications.

Have your own list manager or service? No problem. You can export your complete client list to universal format that can be used to update other list manager systems.
Projected Frame allows you to track more than just contacts. You can create and manage projects and contacts for each of those projects. For example, you can create a “Wedding” project and add contacts for Bride, Groom, Mother of the Bride, Father of the Bride, Wedding Planner, and anyone else involved in the wedding. You define the the types, groups, etc. so you will always know who you need to talk to if you have a question.
Just imagine having the ability to capture everyone’s contact information at a wedding, tracking who they were, what part they played, and then using that information a few weeks later to let everyone know about new theme shoots, special pricing packages, and more. You can do that and more with Projected Frame. That’s right, it’s more than just an accounting system.

While the concepts are important the report itself is just a report. You can get the same information in an easier to understand format for the non-accountant.
We still provide access to all the regular reports but we took it a step further and simplified the naming conventions to where they just make sense and you don’t need a secret key code to decipher them.
Absolutely! We have all the data available just exactly as an accountant would expect. We just added a layer of simplification for non-accountants. Accountants and CPA’s spend years in class learning accounting terms and methods and we will gladly swap them out. They simply go to the “Accountant” menu and choose the option or report they want.
In Projected Frame you can invite your accountant to access your company in real-time right from their office. This saves you both time by allowing you to collaborate without ever having to leave your studio. In addition, you can access your books from anywhere in the world so if you travel a lot you will still have access. Being a Photographer just got a whole lot easier!
